Quartermaster Sergeant (South Africa) Captain (UK), British Army
Arthur Moore Lascelles VC MC was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was educated at Uppingham School and attended the University College of North Wales but abandoned his medical studies in 1902 and emigrated to South Africa.
