George Bradford

Lieutenant Commander George Nicholson Bradford VC was a distinguished officer in the Royal Navy. He is most notable as an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

His military service was marked by immense bravery during the First World War. His brother, Roland Bradford, was also a recipient of the Victoria Cross, making them the unique and only brothers to be awarded the prestigious medal during the entire course of the First World War.

In addition to his Victoria Cross, George Bradford was also Mentioned in dispatches for his actions and leadership during his service with the Royal Navy.
