Biography

George Stringer VC was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. Born in Miles Platting, Manchester, he served as a private in the British Army.

During his military service, Stringer demonstrated exceptional bravery under fire, earning the Victoria Cross for his actions. In addition to Great Britain's highest military honor, his gallantry was also recognized by allied nations.
