Lieutenant General Harry Hammon Lyster VC, CB was a highly decorated officer in the Indian Army. He is best known for his gallantry during the Indian Mutiny, which earned him the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for bravery in the face of the enemy.
Throughout his distinguished career, Lyster's leadership and valor were recognized multiple times. He was appointed a Companion of the Order of the Bath and was mentioned in despatches five times for his exceptional service.
