Henry Clay Warfel (1844–1923) was an American Civil War Medal of Honor recipient who served as a Private in the Union Army. He earned the nation's highest military decoration for his actions during the Appomattox Campaign while serving as a member of the 1st Pennsylvania Cavalry.
Born in Mill Creek, Pennsylvania, on September 14, 1844, Warfel returned to his home state after the war. In his civilian life, he served the community of Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, as a Justice of the Peace.
Warfel passed away on June 17, 1923, at the age of seventy-eight in Philipsburg. He is buried in the Philipsburg Cemetery in South Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, where his legacy as a Civil War veteran and Medal of Honor recipient is honored.
