Biography

Henry John Andrews was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

He served as a Captain in the Indian Army, where he performed the actions that led to his recognition. In addition to his Victoria Cross, he was also appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire.

Andrews' dedicated service in the Indian Army and his supreme gallantry remain a distinguished part of British and Commonwealth military history.
