Biography
Isaiah Mays was a Buffalo Soldier in the United States Army who served during the late 19th century. Born into slavery in Virginia, he later enlisted in the Army, joining the famed Buffalo Soldiers of the 24th Infantry Regiment, which was comprised of African-American enlisted men.
