Biography

John Danaher VC, also known as John Danagher, was an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

He served as a Sergeant in the British Army during his military career. His actions in the face of the enemy earned him the nation's premier award for valor.

His legacy remains preserved as one of the distinguished group of Irish-born soldiers who received the Victoria Cross for conspicuous bravery while serving within the British military establishment.
