John Harrison VC was an Irish-born sailor of the Royal Navy who was awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
He served as a Boatswain's Mate during his distinguished naval career. His actions on the field of valor earned him a permanent place among the most celebrated servicemen of the United Kingdom.
