Biography
John McNamara VC was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He served as a Corporal in the British Army during his military career.
His exceptional bravery in combat earned him the Victoria Cross, which is preserved and displayed in his honor at the Queen's Royal Surrey Regiment Museum in Clandon Park, Surrey.
