Deputy Surgeon General, British Army
Joseph Jee was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
He served in the British Army, ultimately reaching the rank of Deputy Surgeon General within the medical service.
His decorated service and acts of gallantry are commemorated today, with his Victoria Cross being preserved and displayed at the Army Medical Services Museum in Mytchett, Surrey.
