Joseph Kirby Corson was an American military officer who served in the Union army as an assistant surgeon during the American Civil War. He received the country's highest award for bravery during combat, the Medal of Honor, for his actions during the Battle of Bristoe Station on 14 October 1863. He was honored with the award on 13 May 1899.
