Richard J. Nolan

Richard J. Nolan was a United States Army soldier who served during the American Indian Wars. Holding the rank of Sergeant, he demonstrated exceptional bravery while serving in the American West.

For his gallantry in action, Nolan was awarded the nation's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor. His dedicated service and actions during the Indian Campaigns remain a notable part of the U.S. Army's frontier history.
