Robert Blume

Robert E. Blume was an American sailor who served in the United States Navy during the late 19th century. He was awarded the nation's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his valorous actions during the Spanish–American War.

Blume achieved the rank of Chief Petty Officer during his naval career. While detailed historical accounts of his specific actions during the conflict are scarce in this record, his receipt of the Medal of Honor cements his place in American military history.

In 2003, his original Medal of Honor became the subject of a federal investigation when individuals attempted to illegally sell it alongside another historical medal.
