Samuel Evans VC was a Scottish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

He served as a Private in the British Army. During his service, he demonstrated exceptional bravery under fire, earning the nation's premier decoration for valor.

In addition to the Victoria Cross, his distinguished service was recognized internationally by the French government, which awarded him the Médaille militaire.
