Biography
He carried water to wounded soldiers while under heavy fire.
Theodore W. Goldin served as an Army private in Troop G, 7th U.S. Cavalry. On 26 June 1876, during the Battle of the Little Bighorn in Montana, he joined volunteers who went for water while under heavy fire. They brought it back to wounded soldiers in need of relief. His Medal of Honor recognized this dangerous assistance to the injured during the battle. The citation records an act of care carried out under fire during the conflict between U.S. forces and Native American combatants.
