William Bliss Hincks (1841–1903) was a Union Army soldier during the American Civil War who rose to the rank of Major. He is best known for his actions during the Battle of Gettysburg, where he served as a sergeant major with the 14th Connecticut Infantry Regiment. His exceptional bravery during one of the war's most critical engagements earned him the nation's highest military decoration.
