Albert Ralph Campbell was an American military hero who served as a Private, and later Corporal, in the United States Marine Corps during the Boxer Rebellion in China. His courageous actions during this historic conflict earned him the nation's highest military decoration for bravery.
During the multinational military campaign to rescue besieged foreign nationals and diplomats in Peking, Campbell demonstrated exceptional fortitude and gallantry in the line of duty. His performance under fire exemplified the finest traditions of the Marine Corps.
Following his distinguished service in the Boxer Rebellion, Campbell was awarded the Medal of Honor. His legacy remains preserved as a testament to the valor of the early twentieth-century Marines who served in the Far East.
