Charles Ferguson Hoey

Major Charles Ferguson Hoey VC MC was a Canadian officer who served during World War II. He was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

He also received the Military Cross during his service. He held the rank of Major in the British Army, serving with the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment.

His Victoria Cross is displayed in the Galleries of the Royal Lincolnshire Regiment at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life in Lincoln, England, preserving his legacy of extreme bravery and sacrifice.
