Major Cuthbert Bromley was an officer of the British Army who served during the First World War.
He took part in the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915, including the landing at Cape Helles and subsequent fighting at W Beach and Gully Ravine. He was wounded during the campaign and later lost during the sinking of HMT Royal Edward in 1915.
He was awarded the Victoria Cross for acts of exceptional bravery during the Gallipoli landings, where he demonstrated leadership and courage under heavy enemy fire.
His Victoria Cross is recorded among the historic group of Gallipoli VC awards and is associated with First World War campaign honours.
