Company Sergeant-Major, British Army
George Gristock VC was a South African soldier who served in the British Army during World War II. He achieved the rank of Company Sergeant-Major within the Royal Norfolk Regiment. Gristock was decorated with the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.
