Biography

Private First Class Herbert A. Littleton was a United States Marine recognized for his extraordinary heroism during the Korean War. He was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his selfless act of valor.

During the intense Battle of Hwacheon, Littleton demonstrated the ultimate sacrifice. He deliberately fell on an enemy grenade to shield his fellow Marines from the blast.

His courageous action undoubtedly saved the lives of his comrades, embodying the highest ideals of military service and bravery.
