Biography
Isadore Nordstrom was a United States Navy sailor who rose to the rank of Lieutenant and was a recipient of the nation's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor. Born in Sweden, his first name was officially spelled "Isidor" on his award citation. His early naval career included service during the Spanish-American War, where he earned the Sampson Medal and the Spanish Campaign Medal.
