Biography
Private John Alexander VC was a British Army soldier and an Irish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to a member of the British and Commonwealth forces.
He served with distinction in the British Army, earning international recognition for his bravery. His actions during his service cemented his place among the most revered figures of British military history.
Today, his legacy is preserved for the public, and his Victoria Cross is proudly displayed at the National War Museum of Scotland inside Edinburgh Castle in Scotland.
