Biography
Hospitalman John Edward Kilmer was a United States Navy corpsman who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions during the Battle of Bunker Hill in the Korean War. Serving with a Marine Corps rifle company, Kilmer demonstrated exceptional courage under fire, sacrificing his own life to shield and care for wounded Marines.
