Brigadier General Robert James Loyd-Lindsay, 1st Baron Wantage, was a British soldier, politician and philanthropist. He was a benefactor to Wantage, and the first chairman and co-founder of the British National Society for Aid to the Sick and Wounded in War, for which he obtained the important patronage of Queen Victoria.
