Walter Keith Singleton was a United States Marine Corps sergeant who served during the Vietnam War. He is best known for his heroic actions on March 24, 1967, during which he went above and beyond the call of duty, ultimately leading to his posthumous recognition with the Nation's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor.
Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Singleton enlisted in the Marine Corps and rose to the rank of Sergeant.
