William Henry Grimbaldeston

William Henry Grimbaldeston VC was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. During his military career in the British Army, he achieved the rank of Company Quartermaster-Sergeant.

Grimbaldeston served with distinction, earning the Victoria Cross for his outstanding bravery and devotion to duty under fire. His actions represent the pinnacle of military heroism within the British and Commonwealth forces.

Following his service, his Victoria Cross was preserved and is currently displayed at the Regimental Museum of The Kings Own Scottish Borderers in Berwick upon Tweed, Northumberland, England. His legacy remains a point of pride for his regiment and nation.
