Major-General William Knox-Leet VC CB was an Irish-born officer in the British Army. He rose to the rank of Major-General during his career of distinguished service in the British military.
He was a recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces. He was also appointed as a Companion of the Order of the Bath.
