William Martin Cafe

General William Martin Cafe VC was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

He served as an officer in the Indian Army, eventually rising to the rank of General. His distinguished service in the nineteenth century was highlighted by his acts of valor which earned him the United Kingdom's premier military decoration.
