Master Sergeant, U.S. Army
Hubert Louis Lee was a United States Army soldier who served with distinction during the Korean War. He rose to the rank of Master Sergeant and became a highly decorated combat veteran. On February 1, 1951, Lee performed the conspicuous actions that would earn him the nation's highest military decoration, the Medal of Honor.
Throughout his military service, Master Sergeant Lee demonstrated consistent bravery and leadership in combat. In addition to the Medal of Honor, his valor was recognized with the Silver Star and the Bronze Star Medal. He was also wounded in action, receiving the Purple Heart.
