Sergeant John Ross VC was a Scottish recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.

He served in the British Army as a member of the Royal Engineers. His exceptional bravery under fire earned him the nation's supreme military decoration.

His Victoria Cross is preserved and displayed for the public at the Royal Engineers Museum in Chatham, Kent, alongside his French Médaille militaire, commemorating his distinguished service and legacy.
