Corporal, U.S. Army
Leonidas H. Inscho (1840–1907) was an American soldier who served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Serving as a corporal in the 12th Ohio Infantry, he demonstrated exceptional bravery during his military service.
He was awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions in capturing a Confederate captain and several of his men. Despite suffering an injury to his left hand during the engagement, he successfully secured the prisoners and aided the Union cause.
Following his service, Inscho's actions were officially recognized with the nation's highest military decoration, securing his legacy as a notable veteran of the Civil War.
