The Cross of St. George, 4th Class was the entry grade of the Imperial Russian Cross of St. George, awarded exclusively to enlisted soldiers and non-commissioned officers for acts of exceptional bravery in combat. Recipients could subsequently be promoted through the higher classes for additional acts of gallantry.
